As you've probably guessed, I'm mad for stripes... Twiggy's get-up is one of my faves here. Could Bowie's lapels be any wider? And you can always depend on Paul to be dapper!
Yve, I'm with you and SB on the snail. It's the spiral effect I think. Not sure what the word is... to slime?
Erik - ha, the 'bird'... you mean Marianne? The reflective table top adds to the icy look too. Maybe she's hanging up on Mick, having just told him where to stick it.
Just saw this post as it was featured - Some great images here and the Twiggy one is fantastic. Great mix of people/nature and I also love Breton tops but they have to have the straight neck as I don't like it when they scoop down too much.
Thanks Alyson - I must do another post like this some time, I do love putting together some striking visuals. I did one a while back with photos of notable people, who don't normally wear glasses, wearing them. Nice to have running themes. I know what you mean about the scoopy necks too!
Oops. Try again...Some fine stripes there but the snail wins it. Sue Catwoman has to be my human favourite. The top (hat) one is pretty striking too.
ReplyDeleteNah, Bowie has to sneak it for his multi-directional stripe option. Mind you, Anita Page is also pretty darned cool.

The bird wins it...the bird with the telephone.
ReplyDeleteShe looks like ice wouldn't melt in her mouth...and she's got those blinds for the meta affect.

A Breton top is always a winner.....as in your photo C!
ReplyDeleteAh, thank you CA - Breton tops are classic, aren't they? I'm hooked!
DeleteNo Contest! Zootoca vivipara wins hands down. I have kept many in my time.
ReplyDeleteNow a days the stripes are vertical if you know what I mean!
Ah how lovely that you've kept them! Such beautiful creatures. (I'm a big fan of reptiles too)
