In pictures

Remember that walk last week?  I went that way again this afternoon; took my camera this time.

I don't have a lot to say today so, if you like, just come with me.

Telegraph wires criss-cross the sky like tramlines.

I look over the bridge for ducks - can't see any.

The Christmas tree lying on the grass makes me think of a wounded animal (with green fur).

No, I don't know what he did... but I'm curious.  Bet you are too.

I just like this...

...and this.  I notice it's been freshly painted,

unlike this basement window.

It's not even 4pm but the streetlight at the top of the hill is glowing against a heavy sky as I walk back.

Nearer to home, there's a Still Life with Traffic Cone.

Back here now, and someone's just left a boat - a boat! - outside my house.  It had a flat tyre.  I think he's going to pick it up in the morning.

    1. Haha, and you know what - I DID take a pic of it! But the angle just didn't do it justice and I was disappointed. I think I might need to climb up a tree to get a good shot!

  2. Lovely. The Xmas tree reminds me of a shrew...a giant green pine one...er...that's not right. Inspired, I shall take the camera this morning and snap London street life.

    1. Thanks Robin, I agree about the shrew, it's the long nose and the little eye...!
V much look forward to seeing your street life snaps.

  3. Great trip. Thanks for taking us. I wasn't sure if the newspaper headline thing was a warning or an enticement to shop! Looks lovely round your way.

    1. Thanks SB, it is indeed lovely and I'm very lucky in that respect! I could have photographed the church or some of the gorgeous old architecture but I wanted to avoid the more obvious pretty bits and focus on the incidentals instead; just noticing the more random stuff made my trip so much more interesting!

Must find out what shop that is, by the way ;-)

  5. When is any sex act in public not likely to be lurid?

    1. Thanks Furtheron - I hope it's not a sign of flooding! Might have to borrow it...
Haha, ideed, 'lurid'! My dictionary defines it as "vivid in shocking detail" and now my mind is full of imagery that I'd really rather it wasn't.
