Yeah yeah yeah

I was absolutely blown away by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs on 'Later with Jools Holland' last week.  That is all.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs: Under The Earth live
(I can't find the 'Later' version)

  1. The Yeah Yeah YEahs were the last band I was really excited about (until recently with Cults).

That first batch of EPs and Fever to Tell were untouchable...Art Star is one of the greatest songs ever (I'd tuck it in right between God Only Knows and Mother of Pearl).

Of course, I'm such a square these days I didn't even know they were still at it. Awesome.

  2. Great! Yes I still like Fever To Tell as well.
They're such one-offs and what's more they keep evolving, plus Karen O is just fantastic! I'm loving their new material.

  3. Kind of ominous. Do they know where one can find the last of the working coal mines?

Great stuff - and the Jools version is even better, with some amazing sound effects and more from the new album.

  5. Hi C, I think you may like the Handsome Family, there new album Wilderness, each song is about a different animal.
Check out first...So much Wine, My sisters tiny hands and Weightless Again...check out Renny Sparks...I think you may like her. Dark and humourous...I could be wrong?
